EURO-CEFG and NIAS workshop on EU Decision-Making

On 8 and 9 December 2015, EURO-CEFG in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) organised the second edition of the seminar on ‘European Union Decision-making: Challenges to Economic and Financial Governance’ at NIAS in Wassenaar.

It was an interdisciplinary dialogue between junior and senior researchers (from NIAS, Rotterdam, Delft and Leiden) from law, economics, political science and related disciplines (e.g., public administration) and a forum for senior researchers and PhD-students to exchange research ideas, chapters of their dissertations or draft journal articles.

Formal (doctrinal) and empirical contributions addressed recent developments in European Union (EU) decision-making and challenges to economic and financial governance in Europe after the financial and sovereign debt crisis.

The seminar was a collaborative event between the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus (LDE) European Research Centre for Economic and Financial Governance (EURO-CEFG) and the NIAS Theme Group ‘Explaining European Union Decision-Making: Insights from the Natural and the Social Sciences’, headed by EURO-CEFG Research Fellow Professor Dr. Madeleine Hosli.
